The Virtual "2020 Juneteenth's Got Talent"
The 2020 Juneteenth Heritage Festival will feature a Virtual "Juneteenth's Got Talent' competition on Saturday June 20th. This year It will be presented on a different platform (ZOOM), via the Juneteenth - Jefferson City's website and other social media.
We are "Star Searching" for talents that sing, dance, speak, rap, hip-hop, play music, etc., If you "think" you have talent, or if you "know" that you have talent, you are invited to enter the competition. We are looking for all talents.
Participants may compete in one of two age categories which are: Category I - Youth: 17 & below or Category II - Adult: 18 & above. 1st and 2nd Place Cash Prizes will be awarded in each age categories.
Category I: Youth Category II: Adult
1st Place -$ 200 1st Place-$200
2nd Place - $100 2nd Place - $100
The talent competition is open to the public and all are invited to showcase your talent. If you wish to enter the "Juneteenth's Got Talent" competition you will need to create a video (via video camera, telephone, tablet, ZOOM etc.) recording of your talent performance and submit the recording to us.
Video Requirements are: Length of video should be 5 minutes or less and no less than 750 pixels. Performance should be recorded in good lighting (The brighter the lights the better.) and clear space (No clutter in the background).

The Juneteenth Heritage Festival is a family event, and it is expected that all performances will be clean, decent and appropriate. Any inappropriate language (cursing, vulgarity), conduct or any other undesirable behavior will result in disqualification from the competition. The 2020 Juneteenth Planning Committee reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of a video entry. The competition will be judged by a selected five (5) judge panel.

All video entries will becomes the property of Juneteenth - Jefferson City and may be used to promote or for advertisement of Juneteenth Jefferson.
I understand that the Juneteenth-Jefferson City is not responsible for the loss of or damage to equipment, personal injuries, or property damage. I will not be a part of any legal action against the Juneteenth-Jefferson City or its Board.

Indemnification:
I understand that all media file entries (videos, pictures, etc.) submitted to Juneteenth - Jefferson City for consideration of use in the Virtual 2020 Juneteenth Celebration will become the property of Juneteenth - Jefferson City and may be used for promotion or advertisement by Juneteenth - Jefferson City. I further understand that the media I have submitted may be placed, disseminated, or viewed on the internet. The Media Submitter (Party of the Second Part) will hold harmless and indemnify Juneteenth - Jefferson City (Party of the First Part) against any and all claims and actions arising out of any aspect of participation in Juneteenth - Jefferson City's Virtual 2020 Juneteenth Celebration, including, without limitation, expenses, judgments, fines, settlements and other amounts actually and reasonably incurred in connection with any liability, suit, act, loss, or damage arising or resulting from participation of the Party of the Second Part in this event. I will not be a part of any legal action against Juneteenth-Jefferson City or its Board.
